Bijlage III ESPA-checklist

Hieronder volgt de beoordelingslijst voor de ESPA-award zoals deze in 2010 is vastgesteld. Deze lijst wordt regelmatig geactualiseerd. De meest recente lijst is te vinden op de website van de Vexpan (www.vexpan.nl).
De getallen die genoemd worden links naast de totalen voor elk onderdeel zijn de absolute minima voor die onderdelen. Een lager punt kan niet gecompenseerd worden met een veel hoger punt voor een ander onderdeel om zodoende toch nog in aanmerking te kunnen komen voor een award.

1Mandatory minimum conditions
If all these conditions are not fully satisfied the car park cannot be considered for an award.
1.1Car park must be for public use
1.2Minimum headroom = 1.90 m
1.3There must be at least one dedicated entry and exit lane although additional tidal flow lanes are allowed
1.4The car park must meet national requirements for disabled parking regarding number, size and position of bays and accessibility for disabled badge holders
1.570% of bays must be at least 2.30 m wide
1.6All vehicular ramps must be unidirectional or at least 6 m wide with lane markings for two way traffic (minimum 7 m width for bidirectional curved ramps with inner circle radius of at least 4.5 m). Ramp width is measured between walls or pillars
1.7Ramp curvature (external radius) (tightest ramp) must be above 8 m
1.8The car park must conform to national fire safety standards
1.9If the car park has paid parking and access control by barriers or gates, there must be an intercom at the pay point/exit point
11.10All vehicle and pedestrian safety barriers must conform to national safety standards
1.11Receipt for payment must be provided when requested
1.12All turning movements must be capable of being completed without reversing (moving in/out the parking bay and cul-de-sacs excluded)
